So the sky this morning was bonkers beautiful. Aaron took pictures when he left for work, and then I snapped this one as I was leaving home this morning. I love a pastel sky, especially when the clouds are showing off. And you may notice that there are no crops in the field — harvest is in full swing and they knocked out the field around our house just a day or two ago!

Some random internet things:

Robert Downey Jr seems like he’d be exhausting in person. But…a windmill house in the Hamptons? OKAY, Architectural Digest. I’m watching. (p.s. Poppy & Cara Delevingne’s tour is super fun too)

This is a big time WHAT IS HAPPENING AND HOW moment:

I laughed out loud at this: Signs your bra may be the wrong size…or a snake.

My ‘to be read’ list just grew by these 10 novels plus all of the “runner ups.” Have you read any of these?? 10 best debut novels of the decade

I’ve really been enjoying the 1619 podcast from NY Times. It’s enlightening and important and about much more than the podcast blurb makes it out to be:

In August of 1619, a ship carrying more than 20 enslaved Africans arrived in the English colony of Virginia. America was not yet America, but this was the moment it began. No aspect of the country that would be formed here has been untouched by the 250 years of slavery that followed. On the 400th anniversary of this fateful moment, it is time to tell the story.

You can listen on Apple Podcasts (and probably other places?)

But. But. How can I get a crocheted bagel!?!?

So here’s the exciting news… On Tuesday November 12th 6-9 p.m I will be involved in celebrating @panzers_deli Panzer’s Deli & Grocery 75 years of trading by creating a knit and crochet bagel bar ‘Kate’s Bagel Bar’ where customers can order their very own bespoke bagel. There will be a selection of crocheted and knitted fillings to choose from ranging from knitted smoked salmon slices to hand crocheted rocket and lots more so do come along to order your very own bespoke bagel. Each one will be framed and signed. I have also collaborated with the Panzer’s team and created a selection of prints and cards available to purchase both in store and on line (more details to follow about these shortly) If you are not familiar with Panzers let me enlighten you… Panzer’s first opened its doors in 1944 and immediately became a well-loved food destination for residents of North West London as London’s original Jewish deli with culinary delights from all over the world. Preserving the same ethos of quality and service, today foodies head to St John’s Wood from all over London, as well as internationally, and the store is a renowned gastronomic haven for all those who appreciate great food. I’m really looking forward to seeing you all and making some very special bagels. #katejenkinsxpanzers #katejenkinsstudio #britishartist #panzer’sdeli#crochetedandknittedbagelbar#bestbespokebagelsinlondon#londondeli#bagelsarethebest#75yearsofpanzers’sdeli

That probably is enough intense randomness for now. If you are able to crochet me a bagel, please get in touch. It’s important.
